Overview:

This residency offers emerging contemporary artists the opportunity to create new work, either as part of an ongoing practice or for a specific project. Artists may submit proposals detailing how they intend to use the residency space. The program encourages experimentation, focusing on projects that involve conceptual art, practice, theory, or engage the public. The residency concludes with a solo closing reception that is promoted across a broad network, offering artists exposure within the contemporary art world. Artists are provided full access to a 1500 sq. ft. studio equipped with a screen-printing facility, a photo developing darkroom (BW only), ceramic facilities, a library, and a gallery space for public programming. There are also professional development opportunities, including studio visits, public programming, and community engagement. While there is no live-in accommodation, the studio is located in a vibrant art district near Manhattan, allowing easy access to the city's art community.
