Art Residency Funding Program
Artists selected for this residency receive funding for a three-month creative exploration at a dedicated art space. The grant covers accommodation, materials, and project mentorship.
Overview:
The Art Residency Funding Program offers a unique opportunity for Armenian artists across various disciplines to immerse themselves in a three-month period of focused creativity and professional development. Participants will have access to a dedicated art space in [select city], where they can explore new ideas, create innovative works, and engage with a vibrant artistic community.
During the residency, artists will receive comprehensive support, including funding for accommodation and materials, as well as personalized mentorship from established professionals in their field. The program encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and aims to foster a deeper understanding of global artistic practices. By the end of the residency, artists are expected to present their work in a public showcase, contributing to the cultural exchange between Armenia and the host city.
This program is open to artists working in [select from: Visual Arts, Digital Arts, Sculpture & 3D, Performing Arts, Literary Arts, Music and Sound, Film and Media Arts, Crafts and Design]. It is designed to provide the resources and environment needed for artists to develop their practice, connect with international peers, and gain visibility on a global platform.
Requirements to Apply:
Eligibility:
Open to Armenian artists aged 18 and above.
Applicants must have a demonstrated track record of work in their selected art industry.
Proficiency in English or the official language of the host city is required.
Application Materials:
Completed application form.
A detailed project proposal outlining the intended use of the residency, including the goals, expected outcomes, and potential impact on the artist’s practice.
A portfolio of recent work (up to 10 images or 5 minutes of video/audio).
A current CV highlighting relevant artistic achievements and exhibitions.
Two letters of recommendation from established artists or professionals in the field.
Selection Criteria:
Artistic merit and originality of the proposed project.
Relevance of the project to the artist’s career development.
Potential for cross-cultural exchange and community engagement.
Feasibility of the project within the residency duration and resources provided.
Committment:
Artists must commit to the full three-month residency period.
A final presentation of the work created during the residency is required, in the form of an exhibition, performance, or publication, as applicable.
