The Jentel Artist Residency offers artists and writers a space to focus on their creative work in a rural setting, supporting artistic development through a month-long residency.

Overview:

The Jentel Artist Residency Program provides artists and writers a supportive environment for creative development, allowing time for reflection and work in a setting that preserves the agricultural and historical integrity of the land. The residency focuses on artistic merit and promise, and selections are made by a panel of experts in the arts and humanities. Six residencies are awarded per session, and residents receive unfettered time to engage in their creative process.

Eligibility:

The residency is open to visual artists and writers in non-fiction, fiction, poetry, and composers. Applicants must be over the age of 25 and reside in the US or be US citizens abroad. Applicants currently enrolled in a degree program are ineligible.

Application:

Applicants must submit proposals through the Submittable portal, including their resume, work samples, and character references.
