Est-Nord-Est is offering an eight-week residency for international contemporary artists, providing access to studios, local resources, and a vibrant community. Artists can apply for sessions in 2025 and early 2026.

Overview:

Est-Nord-Est (ENE) is an artist-run centre in Canada that provides international artists and authors in contemporary art with space and time for research and experimentation. Originally focused on sculptors and traditional practices, ENE now welcomes artists from all disciplines. The eight-week residencies bring together four artists and one author each session. The residency periods occur in spring, summer, fall, and winter, with opportunities for intercultural exchanges. Artists have access to individual studio-workshops, specialized equipment, and a documentation center. The residency includes an honorarium, technical and logistical support, and access to local resources.

Eligibility:

Open to professional artists, both established and emerging, from all over the world.

Application:

Submit the application online by November 10, 2024. Proposals must focus on research and experimentation.
