Art Explora and Cité Internationale des Arts Residency Programme

The Art Explora Foundation, in collaboration with the Cité internationale des arts, welcomes every year about twenty residents, artists and researchers from all over the world. This programme offers the possibility for artists and artist collectives to carry out research and creation work in the heart of Paris, in connection with the French artistic and professional scene. Two programmes are offered for residents to develop projects that address contemporary issues, including new technologies, the links between art and science, environmental, political and social issues. The residency programmes accompany a project in its entirety or one stage of it; no rendering is required at the end of the residency. The SOLO programme is a 6-month residency for artists only, with 2 sessions per year. The Artists COLLECTIVE programme is a 3-month residency for collectives, with 4 sessions per year. Eligible disciplines are visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, and art criticism & curating. Residents receive a 50m2 studio apartment, a grant of 1,000 EUR per month, a production grant of up to 3,000 EUR, and a round trip to the residence.
